Dear UWT community,
It was with much thought and sadness that I announced my resignation as the ASUWT President on March 16, 2012. Though I loved the job and find nothing more satisfying than serving my community, due to personal reasons I felt I could no longer continue in the position in a capacity I felt was appropriate.
I recognize that nearly every student on campus has a tight budget, and so I take the money paid to me by the students very seriously. Unfortunately I am in a position personally, where I can not dedicate the time and energy to the position that it deserves. Though I did not want to resign, I knew that it was the best decision for me, and would ensure that the students here at UWT continue to get the representation they deserve.
More than anything I want to say thank you. I want to thank the ASUWT team for an amazing year, and some great times. Also I want to thank the students for giving me the opportunity to serve. I have met some wonderful people in my time at UWT and having the opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me has been one of the greatest pleasures in my life this past year.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Bowers
