Ledger wins awards at WPA and CPA

The Ledger won several awards from the Washington Press Association’s Annual Communications Contest in the category of student journalism on Saturday, April 21 at the Museum of Flight in Tukwila, WA. Here is a list of the awards won for work done during 2011:

Additionally, the Ledger attended the Collegiate Press Association National College Journalism Convention in Seattle and received an award for Seventh Place, Best of Show for a four-year non-weekly publication on March 4. The issue entered for the award was Vol. 16 Issue 10, which featured a centerspread on voting and a feature on Nick Rogen, who gave a diversity dialogue at the DRC.
