ASUWT

ASUWT

I want to be able to become a voice for students, gaining a better understanding of what students want/need as we grow over these coming years. As a PR Committee Member, I have just begun to understand what students want from their representatives, and would like to continue listening, making their UWT experience impactful.

What experiences and qualifications do you have?

I have attended various events like Huskies on the Hill and staffed a table for ASUWT at Winter OPF. Along with working on the ASUWT PR committee, I have worked with other organizations outside of school including Special Olympics Washington and would like to continue in a Leadership role as a voice for students at UW-Tacoma.

What I really want students to know about me is......

I am a hard worker and worked as a Public Relations Committee Member for the past School Year. My commitment to understanding what students want from their school is very important to me and I would love to continue as a representative for students, making the UWT experience more Impactful.

Describe how you plan to balance your duties with ASUWT with your current academic load, social life, family life, etc.

This School Year I have participated for many hours with our ASUWT office at events like Huskies on the Hill and the Fall and Winter OPF’s. In this time I have successfully held a 3.6 cumulative GPA, making the dean’s list my first two quarters here at UWT, as well as obtaining over 200 hours of Community Service with various organizations in my Community. My ability to work for ASUWT will not be affected by these other commitments and I will continue to prioritize both my social and family life with this large commitment to ASUWT, and work effectively for the students at UW-Tacoma.
