What experience and qualifications do you have?
The positions I’ve held this year were: BSU-PR and Legislative Affairs Co-Chair.
What I really want students to know about me is.....
I have a passion for helping students, I believe in collaboration and innovation, and am constantly looking for problems to address and the question of "how does this benefit students." I also enjoy random conversation and love meeting new people, on or off-campus.
Describe how you plan to balance your duties with ASUWT with your current academic load, social life, family life, etc.
The college experience as a whole is a time to “find yourself” as a person, and understand what you can adequately handle and manage. To find balance within my life, I plan on working diligently in prioritizing my priorities and minimalizing my distractions. First and foremost, I am a student, just like many of you and am concerned with my performance in the classroom. It is important to spend time with my family as they are my support base, and in my free time I’ll be socializing with my friends and catching up on good books to read.

Why have you decided to run for office?
I want to run for office because I want to make a positive change for the students. I enjoy listening to others and I can act as their voice on behalf of any issues and concerns they have. I want ASUWT to be an even more welcoming and friendly place for students.
What experiences and qualifications do you have?
While I have never led in student governance, I have been in many comparable leadership positions. In church, I have led junior and high school students to help them develop their faith. I have also been a work site coordinator for my church’s summer mission.
What I really want students to know about me is.....
I am a student first and always will be. I love being a student at UWT and I look forward to coming here every day. I love it here because of the welcoming students, staff, and faculty. This will be a new experience for me so I can help bring a new perspective to ASUWT and improve our welcoming hands.
Describe how you plan to balance your duties with ASUWT with your current academic load, social life, family life, etc.
This School Year I have participated for many hours with our ASUWT office at events like Huskies on the Hill and the Fall and Winter OPF’s. In this time I have successfully held a 3.6 cumulative GPA, making the dean’s list my first two quarters here at UWT, as well as obtaining over 200 hours of Community Service with various organizations in my Community. My ability to work for ASUWT will not be affected by these other commitments and I will continue to prioritize both my social and family life with this large commitment to ASUWT, and work effectively for the students at UW-Tacoma.
