A journey begins with a single step. Deciding to take that step is sometimes the most difficult thing to do. Before taking that first step, we often question whether we are stepping off in the right direction.
As your ASUWT president, I want to welcome and congratulate you on stepping off in the right direction and making the University of Washington Tacoma the next step in your academic journey.
The mission of UWT is to educate diverse learners and transform communities by expanding the boundaries or knowledge and discovery.
The mission of UWT is to educate diverse learners and transform communities by expanding the boundaries or knowledge and discovery.
We have students, faculty, and staff of all ages and from all walks of life. Through education about ourselves, others and our communities we have formed a dynamic learning environment which inspires our
students to dream more, learn more and be more.
Once we take that first step, we often question whether we should tread lightly and walk, or run as if our life depended on it.
At the University of Washington Tacoma, you have a choice of whether to walk or to run.
There are many organizations and events on campus to get involved and enhance your university experience. From culturally based student organizations to a developing intramural sports program to student government, education at UWT is not bound by classroom walls.
UWT prides itself in being a studentcentered campus which engages minds. We are dedicated to exploring challenging issues and divergent ideas. We are committed to diversity through nurturing a campus community where similarities and differences are acknowledged and respected.
vantage of all UWT has to offer. As with anything in life, the more you give, the more you will receive. Get involved and make your experience meaningful to you. Think about what you want from UWT and what
you can bring to UWT.
We are proud to be a campus of the University of Washington. We are proud to have you here on our campus. We are here for you.
GO HUSKIES!!!
