The significance is in the song

"You’ve given me a glimpse into the greatness of your mind. Although your ways are still too high for me and the depths of all you know remain to deep to search. But to know you just the slightest bit, I’ll take any glimpse that I might get."
When Josh Carper leaves the office after running the media department at UWT, he heads for the stage to becoming the next local rock star. Carper, a graduate of UWT, is the drummer of the band, Delve, who recently released their debut album, "All Things Lost."
"I started playing the drums in the fifth grade. Then I played in a Christian punk rock band in high school. Some of the guys had Mohawks. I didn’t, I dressed like a skater. It’s funny, I went from a punk-rock skater to this super-preppy guy," said Carper.
Carper, now in his mid-twenties, has hung up his skater attire for a conservative white button-down shirt, and then a wedding ring in August 2006. He smiles with his newlywed wife in the framed picture on his desk.
"Married life is treating me better than I thought it would. She’s great," Carper said.
Even with a job and a new marriage, this self-proclaimed super-preppy guy still finds the time to rock.
"Before Delve I played with other local bands and helped out with recording sessions," Carper said. A recording project is actually how Delve began.
The CD project originally started with the lead singer of Delve, Jeff Musser. The purpose of the CD was to raise money for the medical expenses of Roman and Titus, his friends’ sons, who were diagnosed with Krabbes Leukodystrophy.
Krabbes Leukodystrophy is a rare neurological disorder that affects the mental and motor development in infants. It can cause seizures, deafness, blindness, paralysis and in the worst cases death.
What began as an acoustic solo project turned into the collaborative work of four men. Carper and his band mates met while playing on the worship team at Living Grace church in Tacoma.
"It was an instant click. Jeff had already written the eleven songs on the CD. He wrote the lyrics and chords of the songs, then we blended our music with what he had established," Carper explained.
