DEADLINE FOR SPRING SCHOLARSHIP APPROACHES
The deadline for Spring Quarter scholarship applications is Feb. 10. You can download the application materials, along with complete instructions and qualifications by going to www.tacoma.washington.edu/prospective_students/scholarships/

PARKING GARAGE NEAR CAMPUS
A new parking garage located at Court 17 and C Street is open for business. The garage is well-lit, above ground and close to UWT.
The rate for students is $150 for three months. The monthly rate for staff is $75. Short-term parking is also available, with rates as follows: 0-3 hours, $3.00; 3-10 hours $6.00; evening rate of $6 from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
UWT PROFESSOR PARTICIPATES IN
VAGINA MONOLOGUES
Dr. Carolyn West, a UWT IAS professor, will be planning and participating in Eve Ensler's nationally-acclaimed Vagina Monologues.
The play is coming to Tacoma's Pantages Theater Feb. 18. Proceeds from the show will help benefit the Domestic Violence HELPLINE Emergency Safety Fund for Victims.

NEW TRANSIT CENTER TO IMPROVE COMMUTE
If you rely on public transportation to get to the UWT, then life may have just become a bit more convenient for you.
A nine-bay transit center, I-5 access ramp and 1,200-car garage is scheduled to open Feb. 11 in Federal Way.
Bus service from Sound Transit, King County Metro and Pierce Transit will operate from the new regional hub. To see if the new hub will help your bus route, visit Sound Transit's Website: www.soundtransit.org
UWT KICKS OFF SPIRIT WEEK FEB. 22
Come down to the oUWTpost from Feb. 22 to Feb. 25 and show your Husky pride! Every day of the week will feature a different event.
The entire campus community is invited to participate and show their UWT spirit.
