Web/IT Manager
Quarterly Stipend: $400 - $500 DOE
-- Maintain and update The Ledger Online format via College Publisher web design program (approximately once per quarter).
-- Download text and graphics files for placement into online publication prior to hard copy publication of each issue (five issues per quarter plus one back-to-school issue).
-- Work with the Editorial Board to periodically update the newspaper's web page and enhance its design. Webmaster must be able to attend occasional meetings with publication manager and editorial staff to facilitate this collaboration, to be scheduled at a time convenient to all parties.
-- Responsible for the look of the online publication, including updates of format, color, logos and general technology, and keeping the site current with updated polls and forums.
-- Maintain a separate Ledger page filled with staff and publication information.
-- In the event that the publication manager is unavailable, transfer pdf files to the publisher's ftp site (approximately three times per year).
-- Provide occasional on-call assistance to staff members with technology issues by serving as primary liaison to the UW IT department.
-- Other responsibilities/duties as determined by editorial board/expertise of applicant.
