Student clubs offer fun and friendship

UWT school organizations are open to all students attending classes, and most welcome student alumni. Current registered organizations are:

Asian Pacific Islander Student Union (APISU)
This group represents the diverse community within UWT by exploring the unique cultural differences on campus and the Pacific Northwest. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis.

Black Student Union (BSU)
In order to enhance African-American diversity both off and on campus, this organization strives to influence diversity in an open and positive way. Meeting are held every second Tuesday at 12:50 p.m.

Cavitia's
This student organization addresses social responsibility by getting the campus community involved in urban issues that involve UWT and the city of Tacoma. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis.

College Republicans
No information was received concerning this student organization.

Instutute of Management Accountants (IMA)
This student organization stives to gain skills needed for a professional career by participating in community activities and much, much more. Meetings are held the third Thursday at 12:50 p.m. A second meeting on the same day is also held in the evening.

Social Work Student Organization (SWSO)
This organization educates themselves by focusing on the community of UWT. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis.

Interested in starting your own organization? You will need six students, a constitution, completed registration forms, a faculty advisor and a verified attendance at the Leadership Institute during the fall.
