Sweet potato casserole

3 cups sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed (about 3 large potatoes)
¼ cup sugar
½ cup milk
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
1tsp. Vanilla

Topping
1/3 cup flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup course, chopped pecans
¼ cup melted butter

Boil, peel and mash sweet potatoes. Add sugar, ½ cup milk, butter, vanilla and eggs to sweet potatoes. Combine together at moderate speed with an electric mixer. Pour into 11 x 7 inch casserole dish.
For topping: Mix dry topping ingredients well; add butter. Put topping over potato mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until casserole rises and topping is melted.
