Every December, UW hosts an annual gymnastics intra-squad meet for the GymDawgs to compete in front of their fans. The GymDawgs divided into Gold team and Purple team to compete on all four events.

"Every time we do an intra-squad or something like this you expect some nerves and falls but you really want to see if they are focused, thinking about details, giving it everything they've got, and I thought our seniors really helped show that today," said head coach Joanne Bowers, which is why there was an intra-squad meet before the actual meets in January.

Since the scores in the intra-squad meet are not official, the results will not affect the team scores or the student-athletes' scores. The Huskies, ranked 16th, will kick off the regular season at Michigan State University on Friday, Jan. 6 at 3:30 p.m. against Michigan, ranked 10th.
