Our favorite husky and mascot, Hendrix, just celebrated his third birthday hosted by Student Activities Board. To mark the occasion, festivities were held in WPH on April 5 for students, faculty and staff to enjoy. There was everything from caricature drawings, video games and custom airbrushed hats to challenging your friends on the equalizer and more. Laughter filled the air as attendees wished Hendrix happy birthday.

Midway through the celebration, Hendrix was joined by Tacoma Rainiers’ mascot Rhubarb the Reindeer. With fan encouragement, the two engaged in a mascot dance-off which had the crowd rolling with laughter. With further encouragement, the two went on the Equalizer where Hendrix out smarted Rhubarb for a win. Hendrix, giving the first round of the challenge to Rhubarb confused the crowd until he took off in the second round causing Rhubarb, to fly backwards with his feet in the air. This was definitely one to see.

Happy birthday Hendrix, we can’t wait for next year’s party.
