    Capcom's "Resident Evil" franchise has evolved considerably over the years for better or worse. With "Resident Evil" games becoming more like third-person shooters than survival horror games, as evidenced by the upcoming "Resident Evil: Raccoon City," a large number of fans had high hopes that "Resident Evil: Revelations" might be a return to form. 

  • Woman in Black Movie Review - The Woman in Black

    "The Woman in Black" is about a young attorney, Arthur Kipps, whose job is to go through the legal documents of one of his recently deceased clients in a mysterious and gloomy mansion set on its own island. There he encounters a ghost whose horrible past not only spells doom for the inhabitants in the nearby town, but for Arthur as well. The character of Arthur Kipps is played by Daniel Radcliffe who starred in the "Harry Potter" series, it is directed by James Watkins (director of "Eden Lake") and written by Jane Goldman (writer of "X-Man: First Class"). "Woman in Black" is rated PG-13 for its suspense and disturbing images and runs for 96 minutes.

  • Chronicle Movie Review - Chronicle

    "Chronicle" is about three teenage guys who develop superpowers after making a remarkable discovery in the woods. Through their mastery and strengthening of these powers, their friendship and sense of morality is tested as their darker sides emerge which leads to a shocking conclusion. It stars Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan, and Alex Russell. It is directed by Joshua Trank and written by Max Landis. The movie is rated PG-13 for language, violence, and sexual content and runs for 84 minutes.

  • Chinese New Year celebration New Year Celebration marks the year of dragon

    Chinese New Year began January 23, 2012 and marks the year of the dragon. It is the most important celebration of the Chinese calendar, a celebration which lasts for 15 days. To mark this special occasion SAB and International Student Association held a "Year of the Dragon Lunar New Year Celebration" on February 2 in WPH.

  • Huskies Basketball Huskies remain atop Pac-12 with 69-41 victory

    The Huskies mens basketball team (16-7, 9-2 Pac-12) rocked the Alaska Airlines Arena in front of their fans with their fifth consecutive win against the USC Trojans (6-18, 1-10). A freshman guard, Tony Wroten (14), had a season-high eight assists with six rebounds and just one turnover in 33 minutes to help the Huskies keep a hold on first place in the Pac-12 with a 69-41 win over USC Trojans on Saturday night.

  • Academy Awards: A year of beauty and nostalgia

    The 2012 Academy Awards nominations were awash with nostalgic odes to the past giving such films as "The Artist," "Midnight in Paris" and "Hugo" all nods. Each of these films had one thing in common, a romantic viewing of what film was in all its beauty and simplicity before Hollywood became what it is today. It used to be that movie going consisted of bogus bow ties, women dressed to the nines, and a full orchestra playing along with the film. It would be cliché to describe this time period as classy, though one can almost smell the cologne and visualize the thin mustaches of the gentlemen wearing it.

  • Murder mystery Murder Mystery: Dinner and a show

    With delicious food, great company and endless laughs SAB hosted a murder mystery dinner theater, a free event for students and their families which took place on Friday February 3. The production was put on by Lucky Lady Interactive Events and the show was called "Capone's Place." During dinner, which was salad and lasagna from The Rock, the actors mingled with guests while in character preparing us for the show. During the conversations they gave us background on the characters as well as subtle hints which could be used later to figure out who committed the murder.
